Meet the Team
Darren is a full time teacher, who has just begun a teaching post in an international school in Spain. He has years of experience in the classroom and in a variety of settings. In his most recent post in an SEN setting, he developed the pastoral department to increase progress and opportunity, moving him up to middle leadership.
Darren is a Maths specialist who has worked with KS2, KS3 and KS4. This unique position has given him excellent knowledge of the entire Maths curriculum, meaning he is able to help any student grasp even the most problematic challenge!
He is a knowledgeable and engaging tutor, who has a great way of explaining things and an energy that keeps all learners on their toes!
I have been a teacher for twelve years, including six years as Head of English. My enthusiastic, motivational and supportive approach, encourages success through building the skills needed to be an ambitious writer and an astute reader.
My experience of planning a 5-year programme of study for KS3 and KS4, which included implementing a new assessment framework, has given me expert knowledge of the English curriculum, assessment criteria and exam papers. Therefore, I can provide tuition that increases subject knowledge and develops reading and writing skills, whilst also using an in-depth understanding of assessment criteria, to provide strategies and techniques that maximise marks, improve exam confidence and help you achieve your GCSE target grade.
I have a passion for the Sciences and as such hold a degree in Chemistry, a Master’s Degree in Food Science, and, at present, I am a current member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and exam marker for the AQA exam board.
I have over 20 years’ experience as a lecturer in schools and colleges and up until recently was Head of Science at Cransley High School in Cheshire. I left that position to become a full-time tutor for Conexus Tuition and work for the various branches of the business as well as tutoring my private learners during the weekend.
As an experienced teacher / tutor, I can very quickly find what type of learner the students are, and teach them to get the best results their ability deserves.
Peter spent 6-years teaching in private language schools in South Korea, giving him an extensive understanding of how to teach reading and writing, as well as experience of small group tutoring and in-depth assessment processes and exam papers - part of his role was to write exam papers that closely modelled the British SATS.
He is also a qualified primary school teacher, with recent and up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum, and he is an enthusiastic, passionate and engaging teacher who brings knowledge to life for our little learners!
Peter can help your child with any aspect of the primary curriculum and the 11+ Entrance Exam.
Fully qualified maths graduate with BSc Honours in Maths and Management.
Fully experienced maths teacher with over 20 years experience as a Mathematics Teacher in High School as well as over 20 years working as a private tutor providing 1-1 and small group tuition to GCSE Level.
Positions held include Lead in Mathematics, Assistant Lead in maths and Learning to Learn Coordinator.
Currently a full time Principal Director of Conexus Warrington North and a Maths tutor.
